The dairy farming operation utilises the following assets to operate the two dairy farming business enterprises:
750ha of flat, stony Lismore soil types (characterised by low volume of fine soil particles meaning low water retention and free draining).
Land that is subdivided via 2 and 3 wire electric fencing into 65 paddocks ranging in size from 10-16ha.
All new pastures as at June 1, 2002. Species include perennial ryegrass ('Aries HD'), tetraploid perennial ryegrass ('Quartet'), hybrid ryegrass ('Maverick Gold') and white clover ('Grasslands Kopu II').
8-10 metre access races with a combination of lime rock (close to farm dairies) and crusher dust, overlaying a stony base course.
Approximately 2,700 cows are peak milked.
