Spectrum Group is a progressive farming business that has farming interests in Canterbury and the Waikato.  The group prides itself on the unique business model that provides autonomy and responsibility to maximize business performance.  This culture and outstanding business support are the key factors that allow Spectrum Group to achieve strong results and provide opportunity for future growth.

At the heart of Spectrum Group's success are the people that are involved in the day to day running of the business.  From our people on farm to our office staff in Te Awamutu, everyone has an important role to play.  This is recognised in our 'Building Blocks' programme which focuses on investing in our people, providing training and development opportunities, career progression and ownership oppportunities.

Spectrum Group's current farming profile consists of 6 Canterbury Dairy Farms, 3 Waikato based dairy operations all milking a total of 8,500 cows and producing 3.4 million kgs milk solids/year.  2017 sees further development through the addition of grazing support for the Canterbury based farms with the aim of producing quality replacement dairy heifers year on year.

The groups farming interests are supported by a head office located in the heart of the Waikato in Te Awamutu.

Our Business

Spectrum Group’s day to day operations are overseen by Mike O’Connor with support of a Board of 4 Directors, including 2 independent Directors.
